Testimonial

I am writing to express my immense gratitude for the recent assistance the Masonic Fund of Benevolence provided, to enable me to continue living in my home. After failing health and an extensive stay in hospital it was necessary to make many changes to enable me to adapt to a different lifestyle due to my medical circumstances, and I was able to achieve this with the financial help of the Masonic Fund of Benevolence.

Due to ongoing medical expense’s I found myself in an extremely difficult financial situation and on the recommendation of the Masonic Fund of Benevolence I obtained financial counselling through Uniting Care Financial Resilience and Wellbeing Services. The results were outstanding and I’m now in a much better financial situation.

It goes without saying, that I definitely ow the Masonic Fund of Benevolence and Uniting Care my sincere appreciation, you have my deep and abiding thanks for all the help you have provided in my recent time of need.

Every person is an individual, and each financial situation is different, so we strongly recommend that you consult with your legal and financial advisor before drafting a new will or updating an existing one.

Naturally, you will want to make sure that your family and loved ones are cared for first, but depending on your circumstances, you can also support the work of the Masonic Fund of Benevolence by leaving a gift in your Will.
This can be done in one of the following ways:

We want to hear from you!

Necessitous Circumstances

In its basic form, The term “Necessitous Circumstances” refers to financial necessity.

A person is in necessitous circumstances where they don’t have enough financial resources to have a modest standard of living in Australia.

Masonic Fund of Benevolence is a member organisation, and bound by legislation, that reinforces what “Necessitous Circumstances” is, and what we are bound to deliver to our members.

Freemasons making a will or a Bequest to their fellow Freemasons

Drawing up your will is one of the most important actions you will ever take to look after all those you care about.

A gift of a specific sum of moneys
The remainder (residue) of your estate after other Beneficiaries have been paid
A gift of property or shares etc
The whole of your estate if you do not have other dependents to provide for
How to word your gift in your will?

Your legal adviser will be able to give you further guidance, but the following wording is a typical instruction.
